Influencer who posted gossip and criticism of politicians is shot dead in CE

The influencer Gefferson Willian dos Santos, known on social media as ‘Rei do Fuá’, was shot dead on Sunday night (26) in Brejo Santo, in the interior of Ceará. According to information from the SSPDS (Public Security and Social Defense Secretariat), he was a victim of intentional homicide, being hit by at least 17 shots in front of the residence where he lived, in the Sol Nascente neighborhood. Known for his controversial content on social media, he had around 16 thousand followers on Instagram, where he shared gossip about politicians and personalities from the Brejo Santo region. Witnesses reported that Gefferson was arriving home by car when he was surprised by a man on a motorcycle, who fired several shots at the vehicle. Teams from PMCE (Ceará Military Police) and Pefoce (Forensic Perícia of the State of Ceará) were at the scene and conducted the first technical and forensic investigations. In a statement, SSPDS reported that Gefferson Willian was 33 years old and had a criminal record, including six records for defamation, as well as cases of threats, slander, and libel. The Brejo Santo Civil Police station is responsible for the investigation, which aims to clarify the circumstances of the crime and identify the perpetrators.
