Gold prices surged after the Federal Reserve policy meeting saw a sharp increase in the price of gold. On Wednesday, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 2,600, reaching a record high. According to the All India Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold with 99.5% purity rose to Rs 1,23,800 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, gold with 99.9% purity increased to Rs 1,24,400 for 10 grams.
