Director explains story plagiarism controversy in ‘Shakthi Thirumagan’

Chennai, Arun Prabhu directed the movie ‘Shakthi Thirumagan’ starring Vijay Antony, which was released on September 19. Subsequently, the film was released on OTT platforms this month. The film, which was created to address social issues, is gaining attention on OTT platforms. The director Subhash Sundar expressed that the story of this film, created by him, has sparked major controversies. He mentioned that the story he wrote three years ago to a renowned company was used and the incidents in this story are being plagiarized. In response to this controversy, Director Arun Prabhu expressed his frustration. In his statement, he said, ‘After years of hard work, such incidents affect mental health. Initially, it felt like just a trolling online, but it escalated to a point where clarity was necessary.’ He described it as a serious accusation. ‘The story I worked hard to write is being misrepresented.’
