PT FirstGen Geothermal Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Lopez-led Energy Development Corp. (EDC), and PT DSSR Daya Mas Sakti, a subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), a part of the Sinar Mas Group, have solidified a strategic partnership to build a geothermal energy portfolio in Indonesia. A shareholders’ agreement was signed to formalize the joint venture targeted at developing and managing geothermal resources with a combined potential of 440 MW across six strategic fields in various regions such as West Java, Flores, Jambi, West Sumatra, and Central Sulawesi. This collaboration follows a previous agreement signed in August 2025 with the goal of sharing global expertise to unlock Indonesia’s substantial geothermal potential.
