From Legendary Indonesian Superhero Comic, Labah-Labah Merah, to Become Film

Jakarta – Soraya Intercine Films introduces its ambitious project, Labah-Labah Merah. This film aims to revive Indonesia’s legendary character. After successfully bringing back Suzzana through a film, Soraya Intercine Films continues its mission to preserve Indonesia’s Intellectual Property (IP) heritage. “We at Soraya Intercine Films are increasingly confident that Indonesia has a very rich IP heritage that deserves to be preserved. Labah-Labah Merah is the next step in our mission to bring back Indonesian cultural icons in a relevant and spectacular format for the current generation,” said Sunil Soraya in a statement on Saturday (1/11/2025). The first teaser poster of Labah-Labah Merah was already introduced at the Indonesia Comic Con X Anime Con on October 25-26, 20225. This moment marked the beginning of the revival of one of Indonesia’s old superhero icons. Labah-Labah Merah promises to be developed in a more modern and grand format.
