A flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu had to make an emergency landing. Flight number 222 had a total of 82 passengers on board. The emergency landing of this flight took place at Gautam Buddha International Airport due to a technical issue. All passengers were confirmed to be healthy by airport authorities.
The flight number 222 faced a technical flaw. According to further details, the plane took off from Dhaka around 10 AM heading towards Kathmandu. The incident was reported to Vinod Singh Raut, the information officer at Gautam Buddha International Airport, who explained that the plane took off approximately 10 minutes after refueling in Dhaka and the pilot identified a hydraulic issue.
Following the emergency landing, the plane remained on the runway. It was mentioned that even after an emergency landing, the plane was stationed at the airport’s runway for about 40 minutes. Around 12:30 PM, the hydraulic issue was addressed. The 82 passengers on board were safely evacuated from the plane. All passengers being safe led to a sigh of relief from the airport authority.
After the technical check of the aircraft, it will undergo a thorough inspection. The plane will then be sent for another flight journey. Passengers and crew are set to return to Kathmandu on another flight as per sources. After the plane is removed from the runway and takes off, the airport will reopen.
