Akasa Air Expands Its Horizons: Plans to Introduce Routes to Kenya, Egypt, and East Africa, CEO Confirms Upbeat Outlook on Boeing Delivery Schedule

Akasa Air is looking to expand internationally, focusing on Kenya, Ethiopia, and Egypt as potential destinations. The CEO affirmed that their Boeing aircraft have the capability to reach these East African countries. The airline is gearing up to reveal new routes shortly, strengthening its global presence and aiming for a substantial increase in international seat capacity by 2027. Vinay Dube, CEO and founder of Akasa Air, mentioned that the airline is evaluating new routes to Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, and other international locations as part of their upcoming overseas expansion phase. He expressed confidence in the airline’s Boeing aircraft delivery schedule, stating, ‘Our aircraft are capable of reaching East Africa and beyond.’ Dube explained that the Boeing 737 MAX can also extend its reach to South Asia and various other regions, indicating potential destinations in the pipeline for Akasa Air’s growing network.
