Every day, reports of cyber scams involving millions of rupees come to light, in which individuals engage in fraudulent activities. The group targeting individuals for making false promises of sending money abroad has been arrested. In Kanpur, a 6-year-old child was abducted and found murdered near the Pandu River, leading to arrests in the kidnapping case. Authorities also arrested individuals luring people into the trap of honeytraping to extort money.
In another incident, three individuals were apprehended at the airport with 19 crore rupees worth of illegal drugs. The festival season is estimated to generate a business of 38,000 crore rupees this year, according to the CAIT. Young people were deceived into sending abroad, resulting in a loss of 6 lakhs rupees, leading to the registration of 2 cases against them.
