Aliyev calls for Armenians not to fear the return of Azerbaijanis to Armenia

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev urged Armenia and the Armenian people not to fear the return of Azerbaijanis. According to RIA Novosti, Aliyev stated that separatism is not characteristic of Azerbaijanis. He also reassured that the Azerbaijani people have always contributed positively to the states where they reside, without causing problems for other peoples. ‘Therefore, the return of Azerbaijanis to present-day Armenia should not scare the Armenian people and the Armenian state,’ added the Azerbaijani leader. Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia highly values the results of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, highlighting ongoing dialogue between Moscow and Baku.
