The actions reportedly took place while both were in the United States, with the aim of intimidating judges and influencing judicial decisions. According to the indictment, the conduct constitutes an attempt to directly interfere in the investigations into an alleged coup plot and attacks on democratic institutions in Brazil. Although both are accused, the charge against Paulo Figueiredo was split and will be analyzed at a later time. Eduardo Bolsonaro’s trial will take place in the virtual plenary of the First Chamber of the STF, with the ministers’ votes being electronically recorded until December 1.
