This was the country’s third best result and a record for the beginning of the quarter. The market share of electric cars reached 9.4%, with plug-in electric vehicles (BEV+PHEV) making up 22.5% of sales. BYD made headlines by leading the market for the first time, selling 1,978 electric vehicles, four times more than the previous year.
