In the quest for thrill, tragedy strikes as a father and son are fatally stung by hornets, succumbing to the venomous attack. The venomous reaction from the Asian giant hornet could have led to their demise in Laos. The incident occurred when Daniel Owen, a 47-year-old American, and his son Cooper Luang Prabang, were zip-lining over the Nam Khan River in a local eco-park. Owens, a principal at a private school in Vietnam, had been residing in Asia with his wife Jessica and son Cooper for nearly two decades.
