President Donald Trump recently stated in an interview that the United States has the capability to destroy the entire world 150 times with nuclear weapons. How true is this claim? Does the United States really have such a massive nuclear arsenal that would correspond to Trump’s other claims, which have also been highly exaggerated?

According to experts, the United States has about 3,700 nuclear weapons in its arsenal, with approximately 1,400 of these weapons deployed on various missiles, aircraft, and submarines. Experts estimate that the US could deploy ‘nuclear bombs’ ranging from 100 to 400, fulfilling the complete destruction aspect. If we take the lower limit, say 100 weapons, then the US can potentially destroy the world 37 times with its 3,700 weapons. And if we consider the middle range of 250 weapons, the US has the capacity to devastate the world 15 to 20 times, as claimed by Trump. Therefore, it can be said that Trump’s claim of ‘150 times’ destruction is not accurate.
