Carlo Ancelotti responded to the criticism he received from Brazilian coaches regarding the presence of foreign coaches leading the national team or local teams. On Tuesday, coaches Oswaldo de Oliveira and Emerson Leão voiced their concerns about the national team being coached by a foreigner during the 2nd Brazilian Forum of Football Coaches. The awkward moment unfolded as the criticism was made in front of Ancelotti at the same event. During his speech, Ancelotti addressed the presence of foreign coaches in Brazil, questioning why Brazilian coaches cannot work in Europe. He emphasized the need for all coaches to work together to strengthen the Brazilian Coaches Federation. However, not all reactions were negative. The FTBF president, Alfredo Sampaio, denounced Oliveira’s statements, deeming them disrespectful, while coach Hélio dos Anjos dismissed the criticisms as unfounded. The incident also garnered attention from the foreign media, labeling it as a lack of respect.
