India Test Squad: Indian Team Announced for Test Series Against South Africa, Rishabh Pant’s Return, Shami Dropped

BCCI announced the Indian Test squad for the upcoming series against South Africa on Wednesday, November 5. Rishabh Pant, who was dropped after the series against England, has returned to the team. He will also handle the vice-captaincy responsibilities. Pant is currently leading India A team. The first Test will be held from November 14 to 18 in Kolkata, followed by the second Test from November 22 to 26 in Guwahati. After the Tests, there will be ODIs and T20 matches. The team includes spinners Ashwin, Kuldeep, Sundar, and Jadeja, with Bumrah, Siraj, and Akash as the fast bowlers. Nitesh is the lone all-rounder. The first Test between India and South Africa will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata starting on November 14, with the second Test in Guwahati from November 22. Both teams will then play three ODIs from November 30 to December 6, followed by five T20 matches from December 9 to 19.
