The Kannada film industry is in mourning after the passing of legendary actor Harish Rai, known for portraying ‘Rocky Bhai’s uncle’ in the blockbuster film ‘KGF’. Harish Rai, who fought a long battle with cancer, took his last breath on Friday, November 6, 2025, after a prolonged struggle. He was nearly 63 years old. Harish Rai had been battling thyroid cancer for the past few years, which had spread to his stomach gradually. He was undergoing treatment at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bangalore. During his hospital stay, a video of him looking extremely weak went viral on social media, leaving fans shocked.
