Man shot dead alongside woman and daughter in BH

A 29-year-old man was shot dead while with his companion and daughter inside a car on Wednesday night (11/5) in the Jardim Montanhês neighborhood, Northwest Region of Belo Horizonte (MG).
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the man lifeless in a blue Honda HR-V, hit by several gunshots. Witnesses said the victim’s 33-year-old companion was also shot and managed to run into a nearby garage. She was rescued and taken to the Odilon Behrens Metropolitan Hospital with a gunshot wound in her left thigh, while the child was unharmed.
The woman reported that the couple had just picked up their daughter from school and were heading home when they were approached by a Fiat Cronos vehicle. Three hooded men, wearing Civil Police t-shirts, got out of the car and opened fire on the man. Witnesses and bus company security cameras corroborated the story. The victim’s vehicle had expired licensing since 2023 and was towed to the impound lot.
The Civil Police’s forensics team was at the scene and took the body to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML). Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators and determine the motive for the crime.
