The Global Citizen Solution Report reveals the list of countries with the best education in the world by 2025. For the Asian region, China and Singapore have secured the top positions. Titled ‘Global Education Report 2025’, a total of 72 countries are evaluated based on various aspects, including the PISA scores, literacy rates, student-teacher ratios, and university rankings. Overall, the Global Citizen Solution views a good education system as dependent on factors such as access, affordability, teacher quality, research strength, and how well the system prepares students for critical thinking after graduation.
The assessment criteria of the Global Education Report 2025 include the OECD’s PISA scores, QS and Times Higher Education rankings, educational system sub-indices, cost-effectiveness of higher education, quality of life and student experience, literacy rates and educational achievements, education expenditure as a percentage of GDP, student-teacher ratios, vocational training systems, and equity and inclusiveness.
Based on the Global Education Report 2025 scores, the United States ranks as the country with the best education by 2025, scoring 92.10. The United Kingdom follows in second place with a score of 83.28, and Australia comes in third with a score of 77.21. In Asia, China (9th globally) and Singapore (10th globally) lead the rankings with equal education scores of 73.28. Taiwan ranks third with a score of 71.11, followed by South Korea (71.05) and the United Arab Emirates (70.12) completing the top five.
Among the top 10 countries with the best education in Asia by 2025, Indonesia is notably absent. Indonesia ranks 15th in Asia and 45th globally with a score of 66.85. Indonesia’s score is lower than that of Malaysia, which ranks in the top 10 with a score of 69.35, and Vietnam ranks 13th with a score of 68.14.
