Jakarta – As the year draws to a close, there is exciting news for anime fans. Studio MAPPA has confirmed the release of their latest animated film, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, in Indonesian cinemas on November 14, 2025, following its premiere in Japan a week earlier. The 1-hour 28-minute film is not just a new movie but a compilation eagerly awaited by fans, showcasing the most iconic moments from the Shibuya Incident Arc, with the first two episodes of the Culling Game Arc also included. Reportedly, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution will be available in the premium IMAX widescreen format in Indonesia, offering superior visual and audio quality for a new experience for Jujutsu Kaisen enthusiasts. Prior to the Japan release news, TOHO Animation had already premiered a trailer, featuring a combination of clips from previous arcs. In addition to Japan and Indonesia, the film will also be released in North America on December 5 with Japanese and English dub options. Its third season is set to premiere in January 2026. Jujutsu Kaisen has become one of the most popular shonen anime series in the industry, rivaling One Piece, Naruto, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The first season premiered in October 2020 with 24 episodes, followed by the second season in July 2023, which was well-received and aired in two parts over six continuous months. The anime adapts the arcs Hidden Inventory/Premature Death (Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu) and Shibuya Incident from the original manga by Gege Akutami. The mangaka launched the manga in Shueisha in March 2018, concluding it in September 2024.
