India will begin hosting the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit starting on January 1, 2026, along with the extensive projects related to the high-level grouping. The Indian government is strategizing various initiatives to enhance the country’s international stature as part of this effort. Similar to India’s past G20 presidency, showcasing the country’s rich culture and heritage on a national scale will be a key focus of the upcoming BRICS summits initiated by the central government. The participation of all 28 states and nine union territories, encompassing 60 major cities, will be part of the collaborations linked with BRICS.
