Goalkeeper John from Nottingham Forest called up for the Brazilian national team, replacing Hugo Souza

Goalkeeper Hugo Souza was replaced in Carlo Ancelotti’s list due to a traumatic muscle injury in his left thigh. He will be absent for Corinthians in the match against Ceará this Sunday. On Saturday morning, he did some training on the field but continued to feel pain and was not included in the squad. Shortly after, the announcement of the substitution in the call-up was made. The national team will face Senegal on November 15 at Emirates Stadium in London, England, and Tunisia on the 18th in Lille, France. These will be Brazil’s last two games in 2025. After that, in March, they will likely play friendlies against France and Croatia. These will be the final matches before the official call-up for the World Cup. The definitive list will be announced in May.
