After winning the sprint, Formula 1 leader Lando Norris from McLaren will start at the front in the São Paulo GP, with Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes in second and Charles Leclerc from Ferrari in third, in a qualifying session marked by surprises from start to finish. Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto did not participate in the qualifying session after suffering the worst crash of his career on the final lap of the sprint. Sauber tried to put together the backup chassis, but failed to get the car ready in time for him to even hit the track.
