Indian Air Force Air Show in Northeast India: Display of Power with 75+ Aircrafts

To celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF), a mega air show was successfully organized on Sunday at the banks of the Brahmaputra River in Guwahati. The event showcased power with over 75 aircrafts and helicopters.
The Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh highlighted the importance of the event in engaging the people of Northeast India, emphasizing the regular practices conducted by the IAF in the region. He mentioned that such events are not held specifically for any special purpose but to showcase the IAF’s prowess and connect with the local population.
Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, praised the event as a display of strength, skill, and courage, especially in challenging terrains near international borders. He underscored the significance of the show in boosting morale and deterring adversaries.
In addition to traditional aircrafts like Rafale, Sukhoi, and MiG, the event also featured modern planes like Jaguar, MiG, Mirage, and C-17 Globemaster, among others. These aircrafts flew from several air bases in the region including Guwahati, Tezpur, Jorhat, and Chabua.
