Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur is not only known as the 4th President of Indonesia. He is a figure of an Islamic scholar who taught the importance of tolerance in diversity. Thanks to his thoughts and struggles, he was dubbed as the father of Indonesian pluralism. His journey as a kiai, a scholar, and a national leader left a legacy of respecting differences.
