Russia and Egypt Bolster Strategic Partnership

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu recently met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to strengthen the strategic partnership between Russia and Egypt. During the meeting, Shoigu highlighted the successful completion of major infrastructure projects, such as the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant. The officials also discussed the potential for increased military-technical cooperation, including the possibility of new defense contracts. Both parties confirmed the progress made on the Russian Industrial Zone located in the Suez Canal Economic Area, with the legal framework already in place and the project moving towards implementation.
