The final day of polling in the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections is taking place today. A total of 3.70 crore voters are expected to participate in this polling. With elections taking place in different regions where there is a diverse mix of social groups, caste equations, and a significant Muslim population, the dynamics of polling have shifted significantly in favor of opposition parties. Several ministers in Nitish’s cabinet are contesting in these elections. The small party within the NDA, Hindustani Awam Morcha, is contesting in 6 seats, including in the final phase. The Congress state president Rajesh Kumar, Congress Legislative Assembly leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan, and CPI(M-L) Legislative Assembly leader Mehboob Alam are contesting in this final phase for the seats they are vying for. The results of all 14 constituencies in the final phase of polling will be crucial.
