Cairo: The World Shooting Championship is currently taking place in the capital city of Egypt, Cairo. In the men’s 10m air pistol category, Indian shooter Samarth Rana surprised everyone by clinching a total of 243.7 points in the final round, securing the gold medal. This victory marked Rana’s first gold in the 10m air pistol event as an Indian athlete. At 20 years old, Samarth Rana joined forces with Ariaan Arian of China, who won the silver with 243.3 points, and Indian shooter Varun Thakkar, who claimed bronze with 221.7 points.
