Vel’s directorial ‘Paigan Kalamadan’ movie has reportedly grossed over 70 crores in just 25 days as per an official statement released by the production team.
Following the success of the movie ‘Vaazhai,’ Vel’s latest film ‘Paigan’ hit the screens on October 17th, featuring Druvikram in the lead role and produced by P. R. Ranjith with music by Nivas K. Prasanna.
The film, which boasts a stellar cast including Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan, Ameir, Lal, and Pasupathi, has received positive reviews from audiences, showcasing a promising performance. Manathi Kaneshan, who won the Arjuna Award, has played a pivotal role in this movie, portraying the life story of a historical figure.
Estimated to have been made on a budget of 30 crores, the film has surpassed 70 crores in just 25 days, as reported officially. The movie is set to be released in the audio theatre this week, however, there is no concrete announcement being made regarding its sequel or any related updates.
Vel Selvaraj is currently directing a new movie starring Dhanush, which is scheduled to begin its pre-production next year, with the storyline said to be based on a period drama.
