Dr. Shaheen, a doctor linked to the Delhi riots, left her family members in disbelief as they expressed amazement at the recent turn of events. The family is struggling to come to terms with the allegations that she has connections with extremists. Authorities are currently investigating the matter, leaving the family deeply concerned and bewildered by the situation.
Shaheen’s brother, Mohamad Shoyab, stated, ‘We cannot believe that she has any ties to extremists. She was arrested in Delhi recently and has been working in Faridabad.’ He further mentioned that they have not had any contact with her in the past few years, despite living just 550 kilometers from Delhi.
In defense of Shaheen, her father, Sayyad Ahmad Ansari, stated, ‘The accusations of her involvement with Jaish-e-Mohammed extremists have left her in shock. Recently, I tried talking to her to no avail. She completed her medical studies in Allahabad and has been working in Faridabad.’
Former husband of Dr. Shaheen, Jafar Hyat, revealed, ‘I got to know about her arrest on Tuesday. We peacefully completed our studies. We got married in 2003 and have children. We separated in 2012. After the separation, I have had no communication with her.’ Hyat also stated that she never wore a burqa during their time together.
Dr. Shaheen’s colleagues from G.S.M. Medical College revealed that she appeared to be invisible with no information available about her. The college administration dismissed her, leading to her arrest. She was acquainted with two other doctors at the Al-Falah University upon arrival, as per the authorities’ investigation.
