Efforts by PSSI for Marselino-Hubner to Compete in SEA Games 2025

Marselino Ferdinan and Justin Hubner are being sought to strengthen the Indonesian U-23 National Team in the SEA Games 2025. PSSI will persuade their respective clubs. Reported by detikSport, Marselino and Justin are not included in the U-23 National Team squad that will face Mali. However, they still have a chance to compete in the SEA Games. Their names are already on the long list submitted by PSSI to the organizers of the SEA Games. Despite not being part of the U-23 National Team’s friendly match schedule, they can still be included in the SEA Games. ‘Regarding Lino (Marselino), we are currently in discussions on how he can join the team at the end of December before we depart for Thailand,’ said Chairman of the PSSI National Team Committee (BTN), Sumardji, to reporters. ‘So, Lino is in. He is in, but we need to discuss with his club so that Lino can come,’ he added. Marselino is currently loaned from Oxford United to the Slovak club AS Trencin. At the club, Marselino has already been given the opportunity to play, making two appearances. Meanwhile, Justin Hubner has been frequently trusted to play with Fortuna Sittard. In fact, the 22-year-old defender has already started several games and played the full 90 minutes in Eredivisie. ‘It seems we haven’t sent a letter to his club about Justin yet,’ said Sumardji.
