Two individuals were found deceased, three others injured, and 21 people are still unaccounted for after landslides ravaged Indonesia’s Central Java province on Thursday evening, as reported by an official on Friday morning. The landslides were triggered by heavy rains in Cibuyut and Tarukahan hamlets of Cibeunying Village in Cilacap Regency, according to Muhamad Chomsul, the head of the Emergency Unit of the provincial Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency. Residential areas were hit by the landslides, resulting in casualties, including two fatalities, three injuries, and 21 missing individuals, Chomsul informed Xinhua through a phone call.
