Bali: 5 dead and 8 injured in accident with Chinese tourist bus

The bus was traveling from the south to the north of the island on a winding downhill road. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road and into a garden, where it collided with a tree, said the chief of police for the Buleleng region, Ida Bagus Widwan Sutadi. ‘Due to the driver’s lack of caution when taking the turn and descending the slope, the bus veered off the paved road and into a community garden, causing a traffic accident,’ Sutadi said in a statement. The national road in the Padangbulia village area was dry at the time of the accident. The eight injured passengers were treated at two hospitals.
