Lukoil Reveals Potential Buyers for its Foreign Assets

Lukoil is currently negotiating the sale of its international assets with several potential buyers, as stated in a company announcement. It is noted that once final agreements are reached and necessary approvals from regulatory authorities are obtained, a specific deal will be announced. The company emphasized its efforts to ensure smooth operation of its enterprises during the asset sale and transfer process, aiming to prevent any disruptions in energy resource supplies to countries where it operates, as well as to preserve jobs. On October 22, the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions on Lukoil and six of its subsidiaries, including Lukoil-West Siberia, Lukoil-Kaliningradmorneft, Lukoil-Perm, Ural Oil, RITEK, and Lukoil-AIK.
