Menkeu Purbaya: Illegal Imported Secondhand Clothes from China Enter Indonesia Through Major Ports

Finance Minister (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa revealed that most of the illegally imported secondhand clothes flooding Indonesia come from China. These clothes enter through major ports in Indonesia. Purbaya stated that the secondhand clothes are not actually worn or damaged; in fact, many still look new. The government plans to enhance the destruction scheme of imported secondhand goods by shredding them. Purbaya mentioned that the capacity of small ports is inadequate to accommodate large volumes of illegally imported goods.
