The incident took place on Saturday when a man in his 30s forcibly entered the residence. Following a physical struggle, the intruder was apprehended. Nana’s mother sustained severe injuries and is hospitalized. Nana, known for the group Orange Caramel, was also hospitalized.

The break-in occurred on Saturday morning when the suspect forcefully entered the actress and singer’s residence, located in a suburb of Seoul, with intentions to steal.

According to the Guri police, Nana and her mother managed to overpower the intruder. The artist’s mother suffered severe injuries and even lost consciousness, being rushed to the hospital alongside her daughter. ‘She and her mother subdued the intruder, a 30-year-old man, in a physical fight that led to his arrest,’ the detective added. The suspect was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery.
The Yonhap news agency reported that Nana, whose real name is Jin-ah, also got injured while trying to escape the dangerous situation. At 34 years old, the artist rose to fame initially as a member of the trio Orange Caramel, from the girl group After School, before establishing a career as an actress.
