Russian fighter Islam Makhachev defeated Australian Jack Della Maddalena in the main event of UFC 322 in New York, USA. The fight went the full five rounds, after which the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Makhachev. The judges’ scorecards read 50-45 (three times). Thus, the Russian fighter took the UFC welterweight championship belt from Della Maddalena. Earlier, Makhachev had vacated the lightweight division title. At 34, Makhachev has 28 wins and one loss in MMA, while 29-year-old Della Maddalena has 18 wins and three losses.
