Over the years, there has been a gradual but significant change in which the number of women in the population is growing. In many countries, there is now an increasing number of women compared to men. This change did not happen suddenly, but factors such as population growth, migration, and changes in lifestyle have contributed to this gradual development. According to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the World Bank, the number of women is clearly surpassing that of men in parts of Eastern Europe, Asia, and Southern Africa by 2024.
