Since the launch of the new digital complaint resolution portal E-awareness by the Central Ministry of Consumer Affairs, people have found relief. Nearly 2.75 million users have registered on this portal since its introduction on January 1 last year. According to a statement released on Sunday by the ministry, the portal was created to reduce paperwork for consumers, streamline unnecessary hustle, and make it easier for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to lodge complaints. The portal quickly became a trusted platform for consumers to address complaints.
