Sandra Regina Ruiz Gomes, known as Sandrão, broke her silence in an interview with Roberto Cabrini on Record TV’s Domingo Espetacular this past Sunday, and talked about her relationship with Suzane von Richthofen. The two were involved for years while serving time in Tremembé prison. The romance captured attention again after the release of the Prime Video series. Serving a 27-year sentence, Sandrão has been on parole for 10 years. When asked what attracted her to Suzane, she replied, ‘Her beauty.’ They played chess together as a privilege for good behavior, which helped them grow closer.
The First Kiss Sandrão emphasized that she truly fell in love with Richthofen and recalled their first kiss. ‘I fell in love with her. I believe she did too. A mask doesn’t last 24 hours a day,’ she said. ‘We were at work when it was just the two of us setting up equipment. We looked at each other and it happened. We kissed. It was risky. Imagine if the media found out that Suzane von Richthofen was caught with a woman and sent to solitary confinement. It was a huge risk,’ she explained.
Suzane von Richthofen didn’t want people to know about the romance: ‘She didn’t want people to know. People found out later. No one was punished because when she revealed it, when she decided she wanted to be with me, it was already approved.’ ‘We lived a story. It was good for me. If there was any manipulation as they say, I don’t see it. But if there was, that’s okay. The time I spent with her, I was happy,’ Sandrão stated.
