In addition to an Additional 7,000 Hajj Quota, East Java Asked to Supply Ready-to-Eat Meals

Indonesia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, KH. M. Irfan Yusuf, also known as Gus Irfan, recently visited East Java (Jatim) and met with the Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Surabaya on Sunday evening. The visit focused on East Java’s preparations for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. In addition to announcing an increase of 7,000 pilgrims quota, Gus Irfan discussed the opportunity for East Java to participate in the organization of the Hajj. He highlighted the potential of various products in East Java to meet the needs of Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, such as ready-to-eat meals. ‘We discussed products from East Java that can be brought as meals for our Hajj pilgrims,’ he said.
