90s heartthrob Nico Puig turns 53; see where he is now

Nico Puig never fails to attract attention, whether on screen or off it. On Tuesday (18), as he turns 53, the 1990s heartthrob celebrates the date away from the studios. However, he remains active on social media, where he keeps a loyal fan base and a routine completely different from what the public knew. Nico gained popularity in 1993, at a very young age, with leading roles in ‘Sex Appeal’ and ‘Olho no Olho’, both from Globo. The following year, he solidified his heartthrob status by playing the character Bad Boy in the first two seasons of ‘Malhação’ (1995-1996). After that, he portrayed villains on different networks, such as the drug dealer Mercúrio in ‘Pequena Travessa’ (SBT, 2002) and the military officer Filinto in ‘Amor e Revolução’ (SBT, 2011).
