The swearing-in ceremony of the new Bihar government is set to take place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna at 11:30 am on November 20, 2025. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with 20 ministers could take oath. BJP is in the race for the post of Deputy Chief Minister, with names like Samrat Choudhary, Mangal Pandey, and Vijay Kumar Singh in the mix. Vijay Singh is also in the race for the Speaker’s post. From the BJP side, candidates like Nitin Navin, Shreyasi Singh, and Rama Nishad are included in the list for ministerial positions. Discussions are ongoing for one or two Deputy Chief Minister positions. The appointment of a woman as Deputy Chief Minister is also being considered, with talks underway.
