Bastrykin insists on criminal prosecution of six judges

The Highest Qualification Collegium of Judges of the Russian Federation stated, ‘The Qualifcollegium will consider the Chairman of the Investigative Committee’s submissions for the initiation of criminal cases.’ According to TASS, the judges in question are current or former judges Adam Voitlev (Republic of Adygea), Olga Petrova (Kursk), Mukhamed Tembotov (Nalchik), Valeria Tarasova, Karine Golikova (St. Petersburg), and Vyacheslav Kruglov (Mordovia).

Additionally, the issue of granting consent for the detention of former Chairman of the Yurgomyshsky District Court of the Kurgan Region, Valery Kozlov, will be considered. In October, it was revealed that law enforcement officers conducted searches at Kozlov’s residence. Media reports suggest his involvement in the illegal release of convict Vitaly Zvonarev (nicknamed ‘Maly’) when he was working at the Ketovsky District Court.
