Sir Keir Starmer celebrates £4billion deal with Indonesia’s navy, creating 1,000 UK jobs

Britain has agreed to construct vessels for Indonesia as part of a £4billion maritime deal, which will generate 1,000 new jobs in the UK. Prime Minister Kier Starmer is set to announce the deal in a call with Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto. Led by British defence firm Babcock, the program will involve joint development for Indonesia’s navy, leading to job creation in Rosyth, Bristol, and Plymouth. ‘The boats will be constructed in Indonesia utilizing British shipbuilding expertise, which will support 1,000 jobs in the UK,’ stated the government.
