Victory Re-entry with Strong Criticism on DMK… Politics in Tamil Nadu Turns Colorful!

After the incident in Karur, where 41 people died, Vijay, the leader of the TVK party, resumed his political campaign. He spoke at a meeting held in Indore following the incident and faced intense criticism on the DMK. The ruling party faced backlash from both political inheritances and radicals. Contrary to this, they opposed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program initiated by the electoral alliance. As a result, petitions were filed in the Supreme Court.
The ruling party, DMK, accused Vijay of undermining their political campaign by making unwelcome allegations. The DMK raised concerns about emotional blackmailing and hoisted flags of disagreement. Even though the TVK party criticized the policies of the DMK, they mentioned that they are striving for equality. Consequently, Vijay clashed with the Central government over his remarks. They opposed the SIR that the electoral alliance had adopted. Vijay’s criticisms towards the DMK reflected a colorful political landscape in Tamil Nadu.
The Supreme Court received a petition from the TVK party against the SIR program to correct electoral lists. It was revealed that the ruling DMK party had already sought refuge with the Supreme Court in this matter. The hearing for the TVK party’s petition is scheduled for November 24th. Moreover, the electoral alliance, SIR, initiated a new program to correct voter lists and remove fraudulent votes. In Bihar, the SIR began its process before the assembly elections, and Vijay’s victory fueled optimism. The electoral alliance decided to challenge this process nationwide. Therefore, the SIR purged 68.66 million voters from the lists, which is a noteworthy achievement.
The ruling DMK also opposes the SIR initiative. There is strong opposition towards the SIR in Tamil Nadu and also in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, is actively participating in anti-SIR campaigns. A warning was also issued to the Central government. It is believed that removing even one legitimate voter’s name can attract BJP’s attention. The process of SIR has begun in 12 states and centrally-controlled regions, affecting a total of 321 districts and 1843 assembly constituencies, targeting 51 crore voters in the revision.
