The St. Petersburg football club Zenit defeated the Nizhny Novgorod-based Pari NN in an away match of the 16th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
The match ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of the visitors. Maxim Glushenkov and Wendel scored the goals.
Zenit gathered 33 points and climbed to the top position. Sergei Semak’s team surpasses CSKA (33) and Krasnodar (33, with a game in hand) based on head-to-head results. Pari NN remains in last place, 16th in the standings, with 8 points.
In the next round, Zenit will host Rubin Kazan on November 30th, while Pari NN will play away against Akron on the day before.
