Abel Ferreira no longer believes that Palmeiras can win the Brazilian championship. After the 0-0 draw against Fluminense last Saturday (22), the Portuguese coach threw in the towel for the title. Palmeiras will face Flamengo in the Libertadores final next weekend, but on Wednesday (26), the Rio team could be crowned Brazilian champion in a match against Atlético-MG at Arena MRV. ‘I think we should channel our energy now to what is next Saturday. We have a midweek game, we will prepare it the best way we see fit, but I think the championship is delivered, and at the right time, we will talk about what this Brasileirão was,’ said Abel Ferreira in a press conference after the match.
