Pilot dies after accident in Beto Carrero World’s extreme show: Who was he?

Lurrique Ferrari, aged 36, was identified as the pilot who tragically died while performing stunts at the Hot Wheels Epic Show in Beto Carrero World, in Penha, on Sunday afternoon (23). The pilot was riding a motorcycle at the time of the accident, colliding with a ramp used in the show. Lurrique, originally from Adamantina, a municipality in São Paulo, had been working at the park for about a year, according to a family member.

On social media, the pilot showcased wheeling/stunt maneuvers, a motorcycle balancing practice. He expressed his love for motocross and also worked as an entrepreneur in his family’s burger joint. In the photo captions, he always wrote about how happy he was working at the park.
The Beto Carrero World described Lurrique in a statement as someone “admired for their talent, dedication, and passion in their work”.
Accident during the show
According to Beto Carrero World, Lurrique was promptly attended to by the park’s firefighting team and taken to Hospital Marieta Konder Bornhausen, where he underwent surgery. The hospital also released a statement about the medical team’s efforts in treating the accident victim.
“In this moment of indescribable pain, we express our solidarity, respect, and feelings to the family, friends, and colleagues. Lurrique was admired for his talent, dedication, and passion in his work, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him,” wrote Beto Carrero World. The statement concludes by stating that investigations into the accident are ongoing and that the family is receiving support.
The funeral arrangements for Lurrique have not been announced yet.
