The Akshaya Patra Foundation is providing hygienic midday meals to 28,000 students. The state government of Telangana has taken a significant step in strengthening the midday meal program for government schools. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has started the first centralized kitchen in the state in Kodangal today. Developed on 2 acres of land in Enkepally, Kodangal, this modern kitchen was built with the funding from Akshaya Patra Foundation in collaboration with Corporate Social Responsibility funds. From this center, around 28,000 students in 312 government schools in Kodangal receive daily midday meals. The innovative food practices piloted in school canteens have experts praising the focus on providing hygienic and nutritious food to students.
