Oman’s Environment Authority Monitoring Impacts of Ethiopia’s Hayli Gubbi Volcano Eruption

Salalah: Oman’s Environment Authority has informed about the possible impact of the recent eruption of the Hayli Gubbi volcano in Ethiopia. Through 68 monitoring stations along the Al Wusta region and 24/7 monitoring, the authority is observing air quality to assess pollution levels. So far, there have been no indications of harmful effects on the air quality. The ‘Nakki’ air quality monitoring platform provides real-time information to the public. Officials handling the situation are committed to continuous monitoring and will update on any developments, as reported by the Environment Authority.
